Summit Chorale is a place where you will find new friends and a rewarding musical experience.

“When I joined Summit Chorale it had been more than 20 years since I had sung in an organized group,” says Bob Loder, a member of the bass section and the current president of the board of trustees. “Returning to singing has been a positive experience on many levels,” he added. “Music performance offers stimulation that helps to keep the mind active and engaged.”

Summit Chorale is inviting adults who think they would like to sing to join them during open rehearsals on September 6 and 13 at St. John's Church in Summit. Interested singers can sit in for rehearsal, and then if they wish, can have a friendly, relaxed audition afterward to determine placement in the group. The chorale is also holding pre-season auditions on August 30 for anyone that wants to jump right in and get started. Interested singers should email membership@summitchorale.org to RSVP and get more information.

“Studies have shown a connection between singing and leading a longer, healthier life. I promise that you will have loads of fun,” he added.

The choir rehearses Tuesday nights from September through early summer and performs four to six concerts per year.
