Conduct Summit Chorale!

Why travel far and overpay for a conducting workshop available right here at home?
On Saturday, August 6th from 10am to 1:30pm, Richard Garrin, Music Director of Summit Chorale, will lead a conducting master class for vocal music teachers. Richard Garrin is an acclaimed conductor and teacher who for over 25 years has influenced choirs and conductors in the professional, educational and community choral arenas all over the USA. Read his biography and what people have to say about him here and at www.richardgarrin.com. A reception will follow the workshop.

Be a Conducting Fellow! Five applicants will be chosen as 'Conducting Fellows' to work for a 30 minute session conducting Summit Chorale. Maestro Garrin will coach and guide you through an SATB composition, offering guidance and tips that will get you to explore your gesture and how it relates to sound and rehearsal process. This will include a DVD recording of your own individual session for your future reference and development! (optional).

Rather observe than conduct? Sign up as a Participant and observe as a member of the lab-choir with Summit Chorale members. See how each individual's conducting will transform the sound of the Chorale through changing the conducting technique. Enjoy the fellowship of colleagues and exchange ideas at breaks and after at our reception.

Conducting Fellows: $50 (includes video recording)
