The first act features popular tunes by such beloved composers as Leonard Bernstein, Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, and the Gershwin Brothers. "Our a cappella renditions of I'll Be Seeing You and A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square are alone worth the price of admission," says Mr. Garrin. More live music by a jazz trio that includes the chorale's piano accompanist, Douglas Keilitz, plus delicious homemade food, a wine tasting, and live and silent auctions, provide the second act to a festive evening. Tickets to the concert are $15 for general admission; $10 for students. Tickets to the benefit are $25. A discounted combination ticket for both the concert and benefit is $30. This is the only annual benefit for Summit Chorale, a volunteer group of 45 experienced singers from the local area, now in its 97th season. Funds raised support the Chorale's ongoing activities, including three major concerts a year, choral workshops, and community outreach programs.
