Directions - Area Information
From Newark Airport vicinity - Garden State Parkway, NJ Turnpike, etc.
- Proceed on Interstate 78 West.
- Exit from Interstate 78 toward Morristown onto NJ Route 24.
- Exit from NJ Route 24 at the Summit Avenue exit. The exit dumps you onto the Route 24 Service Road.
- At the first light, turn left onto Summit Avenue.
- Proceed on Summit Avenue for approximately 1.2 miles to the third light, at the intersection with Springfield Avenue.
- Turn right onto Springfield Avenue.
- Proceed on Springfield Avenue through 4 lights.
- On the left side of the road you will notice the Grand Summit Hotel.
- Saint John's Lutheran Church is on the right side of the road opposite the Grand Summit Hotel, near where Blackburn Road tees with Springfield Avenue.
- Parking is available in the lot behind the church.
From Morristown and points North & West
- Proceed on NJ Route 24 East.
- Take Exit 8 - Summit Avenue/Summit/Chatham exit). The exit dumps you onto the Route 24 Service Road.
- At the first light, turn right onto Summit Avenue.
- Proceed south on Summit Avenue for approximately 1.1 miles to the second light, at the intersection with Springfield Avenue.
- Turn right onto Springfield Avenue.
- Proceed on Springfield Avenue through 4 lights.
- On the left side of the road you will notice the Grand Summit Hotel.
- Saint John's Lutheran Church is on the right side of the road opposite the Grand Summit Hotel, near where Blackburn Road tees with Springfield Avenue.
- Parking is available in the lot behind the church.
From points South & West - Southern Interstate 287 and Western Interstate 78
- Proceed on Interstate 78 East.
- Take Exit 45 - Glenside Avenue/Summit/Union County 527.
- At the end of the ramp, make a left at the light onto Glenside Avenue/Union County 527.
- Follow Glenside Avenue north about 1.25 miles to the first stop sign, at a "tee" with Baltusrol Road.
- Turn left onto Baltusrol Road. Be careful at this intersection, visibility (especially to the right) is poor.
- At the next stop sign (and "tee"), about 100 yards, turn left onto Morris Avenue.
- Proceed on Morris Avenue for approximately 0.75 miles to the intersection with Springfield Avenue. This is the fourth traffic light.
- Turn left onto Springfield Avenue.
- Proceed on Springfield Avenue through 1 light.
- On the left side of the road you will notice the Grand Summit Hotel.
- Saint John's Lutheran Church is on the right side of the road opposite the Grand Summit Hotel, near where Blackburn Road tees with Springfield Avenue.
- Parking is available in the lot behind the church.
