Announcing Auditions for Summit Chorale's 99th season!
Summit Chorale is currently seeking experienced ALTO, TENOR and BASS singers.
Entry is gained by a simple, short audition by appointment. Sing one prepared song of your choice - - slow in tempo - - and bring an extra copy of music for the accompanist. Tonal memory and sight reading will also be tested.

Open Rehearsals
Summit Chorale is hosting several open rehearsals this year - visit the Chorale and experience some of what goes into preparing a concert. Free admission. A great opportunity to meet the chorus if you plan to audition! Please call our Membership Chair at (973)761-1661 for more information or to schedule an audition. Preparation: Prepare a slow solo song that reflects your range. Do not use a part from a choral piece. You do not need to memorize your song, but if you are using music, please bring an additional, clear copy for our accompanist. Be sure also to warm up before your audition and arrive early enough to relax a bit before you sing.
Application Form: The application form takes 10-12 minutes to complete and asks about your musical background, music teachers, and choral experience.
The Audition: After you sing your song, the Music Director may assess your sight-reading and other musical skills. The audition usually lasts 8-12 minutes. |
